J.Lewis were external contractors for the Government's Crossrail project. During this time J.Lewis were used to fit collision avoidance systems to underground machinery and also completed general electrical work. Fogmaker was chosen as the fire suppression system to be installed on a number of machines used in the creation of the underground network.
The obvious time, cost and safety repercussions of a fire underground meant that all contractor machinery entering the tunnels was to be fit with a Fogmaker system. Vehicles ranged from standard plant machinery to specialised machinery such as the 'Robodrill' pictured below.
